Armstrong vs. USADA
Lance Armstrong is still a cycling legend, a sport innovator, and a tactical master. These are things that the USADA cannot take away from Armstrong, despite announcing on August 24, 2012 that they would ban Armstrong from racing and strip him of his 7 titles.
It’s clear that Armstrong has been “Public Enemy #1″ for Travis Tygart and the USADA for quite some time. Tygart has lessened punishments for Armstrong’s teammates in return for testimony against the 7-time winner. In his announcement on Thursday, Tygart spoke out against Armstrong’s apparent “win-at-all-cost approach”. Anyone who even loosely followed this witch hunt would see that this is exactly the kind of approach that USADA used to try to get Armstrong out of the sport.
Oh, and where would these titles go? 3 of them would go to Jan Ulrich who’s been under suspicion of doping since just about the day he entered pro cycling (have you seen him climb in the big ring?).

Great Britain’s track cycling team have proven with this Olympics that they are head and shoulders above any other program in the world. They netted 9 medals this Olympics, with all but two being Gold. Just incredible. Picture via www.london2012.com
